Iranian American Bar Association

The Iranian American Bar Association (IABA) is a premier professional organization serving the legal community in Washington, DC and across the nation. Founded in 2000, IABA has established itself as the only national association dedicated exclusively to Iranian-American judges, attorneys, legal scholars, and law students, with a membership exceeding 1,500 professionals and eight chapters nationwide. The organization provides comprehensive professional development through its National Annual Conference, continuing legal education seminars, and specialized training sessions on key legal issues impacting Iranian and minority communities. IABA's educational initiatives include expert-led presentations on immigration law, employment law, and other practice areas critical to the Iranian-American legal community. The IABA Foundation, established in 2013, administers the Iranian American Law Student Scholarship program, which has awarded financial support to more than 28 law students at accredited institutions across the United States. Members gain exclusive access to the national attorney directory, enhancing professional visibility and networking opportunities. Through its Washington, DC headquarters and chapter network, IABA facilitates meaningful connections among legal professionals while advancing advocacy efforts to improve laws affecting Iranian Americans and other minority communities.
